Kelly is hiring for a Materials Control Associate!

Job Summary: 

The Materials Control Associate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of materials in accordance with established procedures. The Material Control Associate II will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and performing cycle counts as required. Additionally, this position is responsible for accurate and accountable inventory control and performing transactions in a timely and accurate manner within the ERP system and with the utilization of RFP Scanners.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs outgoing materials packing, assembling, wrapping, and labeling.
  • Receives, inspects, and verifies incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips verifying accuracy and document variances.
  • Issues materials to production in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintains accurate inventory records using computerized inventory management systems.
  • Performs cycle counts and physical inventories as required.  Ensures that materials are maintained properly, safely, and is correctly accounted for.
  • Identifies and reports any discrepancies or issues with materials or inventory records to management.  Collaborates with Quality and Purchasing departments to resolve issues with suppliers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area. Maintains equipment per safety and operating procedures.
  • Performs all duties with a safety and quality-first mindset.


Required Skills:
  • Team Orientated with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong ownership and accountability. 
  • Proven track record of good attendance and performance.
  • Strong reading and writing skills. Ability to do basic math such as adding, subtracting, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to use basic shop tools such as portable power tools safely and efficiently such as tape measures, wrenches, and screw drivers.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft 365 programs including Outlook.


Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or warehouse environment required.
  • Experience in materials, shipping, or inventory control preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems and RFP scanners preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking in a Warehouse environment on leveled and non-leveled walking surfaces.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods, climb, stoop, bend, and conduct work at waist level.
  • Prolonged periods of work in an industrial warehouse environment including production lines and motorized industrial equipment.
  • May be required to utilize ladders or work from heights on occasion. May need to utilize provided personal protective equipment including glasses, hearing protection, or respirator protection if required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs at times and 20lbs regularly.
  • Normal auditory, visual acuity, depth perception and peripheral vision, ambulation and dexterity.
