Materials & Tooling Coordinator/Buyer
Atlanta, Georgia
Onsite: Mon - Fri 10am – 7pm
Hourly Pay: $25/hr
Benefits (medical, dental, vision) + paid holidays

This role will require Sat-Sun on call rotation
This role may require seldom/occasional travel to offsite warehouses.

The Atlanta department is seeking a tooling and materials support specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Atlanta Service Center Manager, the support specialist will provide organizational, administrative, materials and logistical support to the MRT tooling coordinators, our technicians, and customers in the field.

The support specialist will assist the Atlanta tooling coordinator and Atlanta materials lead with managing the repair, inventory of specialized and non-specialized tooling in conjunction with product materials utilized in field operations.
 
Job responsibilities Tier 1 Tools

  • Assist in the scheduling, repair, calibration, and maintenance of tooling to ensure 100% on-time delivery to both internal and external customers. Chief Inspector manages the tool calibrations.
  • Attend weekly meetings with MRT Command Center and ATL personnel to communicate status updates of ongoing tooling initiatives and safety concerns.
  • Support other team members to provide tool improvements, solutions to technical problems, and mitigate safety concerns.
  • Inspect purchased and manufactured tooling for desired specifications.
  • Review tooling inventory and records for accuracy.
  • Track tools to its destination and report to stakeholders.
  • Comply with company policies.
  • Professional customer service communication by email and phone.

Job responsibilities Tier 2 Materials
  • Support MRT Buyers/Coordinators/Technicians during peak periods.
  • Become Proficient in Non product Purchasing as well as Pre-buy for future events.
  • Become proficient in SAP IWBK.
  • Review, source & procure materials for the MRT team from multiple vendors, including non-product & on-call support.
  • Track the material to its destination and report to stakeholders.
  • Professional customer service communication by email and phone.
  • Provide periodic status updates until material is on-site.
  • Perform storeroom functions including receiving/issuing material and maintaining the inventory on hand.
  • Finalize issued sales orders and reconcile return to stores material in preparation for invoicing process.
  • Work in collaboration with the team to ensure all needs are met.
  • Prepares delivery notes and customs invoices for international shipments.
  • Assists the tooling department with international shipments, in and out processing and calibrations.
  • Trains other to be self-sufficient with international shipping protocols as needed.
  • Helps implement and drive the use of digital tools to support MRT functions.
