Role Summary
The Senior Materials Coordinator will support the plant's construction organization by managing the receipt, handling, and coordination of all materials entering Warehouse 8503. This includes both capital and expense project materials such as piping, valves, vessels, and other critical equipment necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the plant.
This role operates independently, serving as the primary on-site coordinator for vendors, internal warehouses, and contractors receiving materials.

Schedule

  • Shift: 4x10s (Monday–Thursday)
  • Typical hours: Approximately 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM (flexible start between 5:30–6:30 AM)
  • Immediate start desired

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Receive and coordinate delivery of construction materials (e.g., piping, valves, vessels, equipment).
  • Communicate with vendors and the plant's main warehouse (located two miles away) regarding incoming materials.
  • Manage the safe offloading and staging of materials.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and goods-receiving records.
  • Utilize SAP and Excel-based tools for receiving, logging, and tracking materials.
  • Schedule and interface with contractors picking up materials.
  • Independently prioritize daily tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Operate a forklift (the plant will provide certification after hire).
  • Serve as the primary liaison to construction managers and other project stakeholders.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong materials coordination or warehouse experience (industrial experience preferred)
  • Experience managing high-volume material flow, particularly during turnarounds
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel required)
  • Comfort with documentation and goods-receipt processes
  • Experience with SAP strongly preferred
  • Professional communication skills and ability to interface with leaders, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work independently and provide leadership when interacting with contractors
  • Ability to follow direction from project or engineering leadership as required
  • Forklift operation ability (or willingness to become certified)
