Position Information:
• Oversee planning, ordering, and timely follow-up of essential materials and components to maintain seamless production flow.
• Foster strong supplier relationships to enhance consistency in deliveries, manage costs, and uphold quality standards.
• Regularly monitor supplier performance and effectively address any issues affecting supply reliability or product quality.
• Manage new supplier onboarding and ongoing coordination regarding delivery schedules, logistics, and packaging needs.
• Utilize material planning systems to review inventory requirements, ensuring stock levels align with production needs.
• Build and maintain production schedules that reflect customer demand, plant capacity, and inventory goals, adjusting plans as circumstances change.
• Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to coordinate accurate scheduling and resource allocation for optimal results.
• Supervise warehouse and inventory activities, verify records through cycle counts and reconciliation for accuracy.
• Organize warehouse layouts and material flows to maximize operational efficiency and promote safe storage practices.
• Direct shipping logistics, including preparing necessary documentation, tracking delivery performance, and resolving customer shipment concerns in collaboration with logistics partners.
Required Experience:
• Demonstrated background in supply chain, logistics, or MP&L roles within manufacturing, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Hands-on experience working with ERP/MRP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, QAD, or Plex.
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and coordinate comprehensive logistics processes.
• Strong analytical thinking and adept problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis tools, and understanding of lean manufacturing and inventory optimization practices.
