Job Overview
Kelly Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Designer for our client in De Pere, WI. The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for the layout and design of customer projects for manufacturing.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process customer projects for design/layout adhering to best manufacturing principles.
• Layout customer drawings for processing on lasers, punch, waterjet, and press brakes.
• Collaborate with project managers to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure timely document flow to other organizational areas for both internal and external customers.
• Participate in process improvement activities for manufacturing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of basic manufacturing principles in sheet metal.
• Proficient in blueprint reading.
• Strong background in SolidWorks or other 3-D software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office, and Outlook.
• Effective at developing and maintaining relationships.
• Adhere to the highest level of ethical principles and standards.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead multiple functions through effective planning and organizing.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to influence others.
• High level of creativity.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience in fabrication or machining is ideal.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Good references with excellent work attendance and attitude.
