Job Overview
Kelly Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Designer for our client in De Pere, WI. The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for the layout and design of customer projects for manufacturing.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process customer projects for design/layout adhering to best manufacturing principles.
- Layout customer drawings for processing on lasers, punch, waterjet, and press brakes.
- Collaborate with project managers to meet customer requirements.
- Ensure timely document flow to other organizational areas for both internal and external customers.
- Participate in process improvement activities for manufacturing.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of basic manufacturing principles in sheet metal.
- Proficient in blueprint reading.
- Strong background in SolidWorks or other 3-D software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office, and Outlook.
- Effective at developing and maintaining relationships.
- Adhere to the highest level of ethical principles and standards.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead multiple functions through effective planning and organizing.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to influence others.
- High level of creativity.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience in fabrication or machining is ideal.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Good references with excellent work attendance and attitude.
