Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Microbiologist near North Sioux City, SD.
Contract to Hire
Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
Compensation: DOE
Responsibilities
- Develops, validates, implements, and documents new capabilities for routine testing laboratories or clients
- Plans, executes and writes reports for projects
- Identifies, prepares, and presents technical training for all levels of the internal organization
- Interfaces with clients, as required, to present and explain results of research studies or validations
- Identifies and evaluates emerging technologies and food testing trends to ensure the company offers the most current testing to its customer base
- Assists in determination of appropriate testing method for laboratory clients
- Interfaces with vendors, equipment suppliers, outside agencies and professional organizations as necessary
- Ensures compliance to ISO 17025 standards are maintained
- Advanced studies in food science and/or microbiological analysis
- Bachelor's degree in food science or related field required
- Proven ability to design and conduct research activities within the food industry
- Demonstrated leadership and team building competencies; strong project management and complex problem solving abilities.
- Ability to contribute effectively in a cross-functional team setting and to build effective relationships with team and customer.
- Excellent oral and written skills
