Microbiology Technician

Today, we are proud to offer a long term contract opportunity for a Microbiologist Technician III with our client, a leader in the Medical Device industry, located in Rochester, NY.

Until the end of year - likely to extend. 

day shift - 40 hours a week
Pay is $24-26 an hour

Microbiologist
Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Mcirobiologist for our client in Rochester, New York. If you're passionate about bringing the latest scientific discoveries to life and are ready to take the next step in your career, trust The Experts at Hiring Experts.
This client is a company that's leading the way in pharma/med device industry. In this role, you will work with the quality group to test raw materials and finished products.

Schedule: On-site Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm
Length of assignment: Until the end of 2024 likely to extend into 2025
Pay: $24-26 an hour Depending on experience
Responsibilities:

  • Performs lab bench microbiological tests and data analysis as per department SOPs Preparation of laboratory media and sterile supplies.
  • Operation of Autoclave.
  • Performs microorganism harvesting and standardizing using a spectrophotometer for use in microbiological tests.
  • Reviews and approves testing data Provides technical support for making documentation changes.
  • Uses laboratory management systems to support Microbiology Department testing administration and documentation.
  • Maintains a safe and complaint work environment by following standards, procedures, and company regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience in performing microbiological bench testing. In depth knowledge of quality ISO standards and general laboratory GMPs as well as laboratory techniques such as pipetting, aseptic techniques, good documentation practice Requirements
  • Strong organization skills and ability to multitask.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively on teams including project teams.
  • Associate's degree required, or equivalent specialized training with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
  • Ability to lift up 25 plus lbs on occasion.
