Job title: Operations Clerk

Location: Toledo, OH - 43659. Hybrid, onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, remote Mondays and Fridays.

Pay rate: $30 per hour

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm 

Contract length: 7 months

Interview: Onsite interview 


The Field Technical Team leads the effort to partner with OCCN members to ensure that Platinum and Preferred warrantied roofs are installed to our specifications with all required components. 

The Operations Clerk is a member of the Field Technical Team within the Roofing and Asphalt Business. This role is accountable for the initiation, coordination, and communication of roof inspections. This involves scheduling routes for Field Technical Specialists, ensuring the property is accessible (not too steep), initiating communication with contractors, organizing and documenting post job walk results, and initiating follow-up when required.

These post job walks include extended warranty inspections and Platinum pre-qualifying inspections. They are key to ensuring high quality installation practices by our Platinum and Preferred contractors; ultimately reducing claim liability.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Service to our Customers (Internal and External)
- Collaborate with Field Technical Specialists to efficiently complete required post job walks
       - Utilizing appropriate software and standard work
       - Ensuring contractor post job walk requirements are being met
- Communicating specific details concerning the QA post job walks with all necessary parties
       - Prior to, and results of post job walk
- Update PQS, Box and QA spreadsheets for accurate reporting

Operational Efficiency
- Identify necessary updates/changes required to standard work and customer communication
- Update PQS with all communication for clear visibility of status
- Identify and take action to eliminate non-value-added activities within day to day operations
- Execute Standard Work
- Achieve 100% compliance with documented standard work

Teamwork
- Collaborates effectively with Field Technical and Sales teams
- Shares best practices with teammates

JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years customer service or other related experience in a fast-paced office environment
- Very proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of Owens Corning Roofing Products

EXPERIENCE:
- Residential/Commercial Construction knowledge
- Able to identify and act on continuous improvement opportunities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently meeting deadlines and commitments in a pressured environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Business acumen
- High attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Analytical with the ability to independently problem solve
- Building Product knowledge and a general understanding of residential/commercial construction
- Able to communicate with a variety of Professions and/or Skill Levels
