Operations Clerk – Night Warehouse
Shift: Sunday–Thursday | 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM
Payrate: $24/hour
The Night Warehouse Operations Clerk plays a key support role in ensuring smooth warehouse and transportation operations during the night shift. This position provides clerical, administrative, and data-tracking support to warehouse and logistics leadership, helping the team stay organized, compliant, and efficient.
Primary Responsibilities-
Prepare, process, and maintain routine operational documents, including:

Inbound and shipping documents
-
Discrepancy, damage, and stock reports
-
Timesheets, requisitions, DVIRs, and driver logs
-
Shipping labels, backhaul spreadsheets, and route updates
-
-
Communicate professionally with internal teams and external partners to support operational needs and respond to general inquiries.

Verify data accuracy to ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Collect, track, and input operational metrics related to warehouse and transportation performance, such as:
-
Shorts, mispicks, damage, and service levels
-
Overtime tracking
-
Trailer temperature logs
-

Create and maintain basic reports, spreadsheets, charts, and databases for management review.

Monitor office supply inventory and initiate purchase orders as needed.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Primarily office-based work within a distribution center.
-
Occasional work in warehouse areas, including cooler and freezer environments with temperatures as low as -5°F.

Minimum 2 years of clerical or administrative experience required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-
Excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
-
Solid math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook; Access preferred).

Ability to solve routine problems using critical thinking.
-
Strong teamwork skills with flexibility to support cross-functional activities.

Ability to work a variable schedule and night shift hours.
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Experience in a distribution, warehouse, or logistics environment.
-
Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service regulations.
-
Familiarity with the local/geographic delivery area.

Experience with logistics, warehouse, or transportation systems such as:
-
Red Prairie, Kronos, RoadNet, Omnitracs, PowerDock, Checkpoint, XATA, Tandem, ShopFax, SAE, Truck Builder, Airclic

Equipment inventory and warranty tracking systems

The role requires the ability to perform the following activities:
