A local sales team is seeking an outgoing, results-driven In-Person Sales Development Representative to drive new business partnerships for independent and regional restaurants. This field-based position requires visiting restaurant prospects in person, building rapport with owners and key decision makers, and scheduling qualified meetings for the sales organization. The ideal candidate thrives on face-to-face interactions, is highly organized, and enjoys working independently with measurable performance goals. Key Responsibilities
- Visit a high volume of restaurant prospects weekly in your assigned territory, introducing partnership opportunities and securing qualified meetings for the sales team.
- Identify owners or key decision makers at each location and quickly build trust during short, in-person conversations.
- Deliver a clear message outlining how partnership can help restaurants grow orders, reach new customers, and optimize operations.
- Log each visit, conversation, and meeting outcome in a customer relationship management (CRM) system with strong attention to detail.
- Collaborate closely with sales account executives to align on target accounts, ideal customer profiles, and follow-up plans.
- Strategically manage and prioritize your daily route to maximize high-quality interactions and booked meetings.
- Follow up with merchants via phone, text, and email after visits to confirm appointments and maintain engagement.
- Consistently hit or exceed weekly and monthly targets for meetings set, meetings held, and associated performance metrics.
- Share field feedback from merchants to help inform outreach and product or service improvement initiatives.
- At least 1 year of experience in outbound sales, canvassing, field marketing, or related customer-facing work focused on generating new business or sign-ups.
- Experience in sales, hospitality, retail, service industry, or similar environments.
- Comfortable conducting frequent, short, in-person conversations every day.
- Ability to confidently communicate partnership value and benefits.
- Familiarity with CRM or sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, or similar systems is a plus.
- Previous restaurant, food and beverage, or local business experience is advantageous.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to travel regularly within assigned territory.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or some weekends as needed.
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods while visiting merchants.
- Ability to drive frequently within assigned territory.
- Ability to carry light materials (flyers, handouts, tablet, etc.) during visits.
