Packaging Specialist
Location: Madison Heights, MI
Shift: 9:30am - 6:00pm, OT and Saturdays required
Compensation: $17 /hour
Temp-to-Hire
Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detailed oriented packager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing products for shipment, ensuring they are securely packed and labeled accurately.  Looking for strong manual dexterity, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality control.
 
Responsibilities:

• Perform all duties relating to the packaging and shipping of finished product.
• Construct boxes and securely package
• Follow quality control procedures and report any concerns to supervisor
• Pull all hardware and touch up paint required for shipment
• Light assembly or painting if needed
• Keep accurate inventory of material and supplies
• Complete material requisition forms for hardware
• Maintain a clean work area, keep floor clear of debris
• Properly load truck for transport if licensed to drive the hi-lo
• Use time wisely, remain productive
• Other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor
• Perform all job duties using standard safety practices
• Responsible for reporting safety concerns to supervisor
• Responsible for following all company policies

 
 Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds of material on a regular basis.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Bending to pick up objects.
• Repetitive movements.
• Safety glasses must be worn at all times while in the shop.
• Ability to use power drill, power nail, staplers and tape gun
• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to read and understand tape measurements
• Reliable transportation
