We're seeking a Paint Line Associate to work in Hesston, KS at Stanley Black & Decker, a Hustler mower manufacturer. This assignment will be a temporary assignment with the opportunity for full time placement based on performance.
2nd SHIFT $19.00/hr.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Perform responsibilities relating to Excel's powder coating operations including but not limited to: grinding or chiseling metal surfaces, transferring metal parts by hand, jib crane, or bridge crane, hanging hooks, parts, or trees onto conveyor lines in prescribed orders and quantities needed to match production needs. Clean, organize and maintain 5S requirements in workstation/area. May perform other routine production tasks. Essential Duties:
- Load and unload parts by hand or with the use of a jib crane or hoist. Set up bars and hooks for hanging parts, keeping proper spacing. Unload parts from paint line using care to protect painted surfaces. Identify and store/deliver parts to line or cart/bin. (Up to 100%)
- Off-load, organize, accumulate, Identify and store/deliver parts to line or cart/bin . (Up to 100%)
- Inspect parts for compliance to quality standards. (Approx. 10%)

- High School diploma or GED required

- Experience in operation of air powered hand tools and hoists is preferred
- Overall production background is preferred
- Basic understanding of 5S and standard work instruction

- Use of hand tools; grinders, DA sanders, etc.
- Use of Jib cranes or hoists
- Able to follow standard work as trained by a supervisor or OpEx lead
