What's a typical day as a Parts Coordinator? You'll be:
• Coordinating with suppliers to procure industrial parts in accordance with production schedules and quality standards.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring optimal stock levels to meet production demands.
• Organizing and managing the storage of parts in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
• Preparing and processing purchase orders and tracking order status to ensure timely delivery of parts.
• Working closely with production and maintenance teams to fulfill parts requests and minimize downtime.
• Collaborating with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules.
• Conducting regular inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
• Utilizing inventory management software to track materials movements and maintain up-to-date records.
• Assisting in the development and optimization of materials management processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Adhering to safety regulations and best practices in handling and storing industrial materials.
• Coordinating inbound and outbound shipments of industrial parts, including scheduling deliveries, arranging transportation, and managing customs clearance processes.
• Working closely with suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of parts while maintaining high service levels.
• Collaborating with purchasing and inventory management teams to forecast parts requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Monitoring inventory levels and tracking parts movements to ensure on-time delivery and minimize stockouts.
• Providing support and assistance during physical inventory counts and audits.
• Developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Conducting regular inspections and audits of work areas to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborating with department managers and supervisors to address safety concerns and develop corrective action plans.
• Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Monitoring and tracking safety performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Participating in safety committee meetings and providing input on safety initiatives and programs.
• Staying informed about changes in safety regulations and industry standards and communicating relevant updates to management and staff.
• Serving as a resource for employees regarding safety concerns, questions, and reporting procedures.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in supply chain management or a related field is a plus.
• Have proven experience in inventory management, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Are proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Have knowledge of industrial parts and their applications (desirable).
• Have forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification (may be required).
• Have proven experience in safety coordination or a similar role, preferably in industrial manufacturing.
• Have a thorough understanding of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Are willing to undergo a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
