Payroll Processor
Location: Ann Arbor, MI
Compensation: $30/hour
Type: Part Time, Temporary
Position Overview
Kelly Services has partnered with a premier educational facility to help identify a Payroll Processor to join their team. The Payroll Processor will support our client's payroll operations for contract, hourly, and seasonal workers, including substitutes, after-care workers, and full-time employees. This role will process bi-weekly payroll, reconcile payroll/benefit accounts, and ensure compliance across multiple employee groups. Apply today for immediate consideration!
Key Responsibilities
- Complete payroll every two weeks for varied staff (contract, hourly, seasonal).
- Manage stipends and changing employee rosters each pay period.
- Use ADP for payroll processing and reconciliation; reconcile payroll data with benefit payroll tracker.
- Handle payroll deductions for annual fund contributions and 403b plans (including Roth option).
- Maintain accurate records and audit payroll/benefit accounts to general ledger.
- Assist with payroll compliance: retirement contributions, benefit deductions, tax filings.
- May assist with additional billing projects as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years payroll experience in private industry or public accounting.
- Proficient in ADP payroll systems.
- Strong accounting or HR background.
- Demonstrated knowledge of payroll deductions and benefit reconciliations.
- Able to work with payroll for multiple departments/groups.
- Experience reconciling payroll accounts and tracking benefits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in non-profit accounting and knowledge of FASB standards.
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Associate degree acceptable).
- Familiarity with payroll requirements for schools and educational institutions a plus.
