Job duties:
Shares responsibility for the implementation of the EHandS management system, in order to meet business objectives and to maintain the license to operate. Provides hands-on environmental, industrial hygiene (IH), and health and safety (HandS) activities for a specific plant. Requires full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on the job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. Acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience.
Responsibilities Duties
Implements detailed, task level, day to day EHandS programs, utilizing the EHandS work process, standards and procedures.
Ensures that the Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety aspects of operating discipline are adequate and applied to achieve EHandS performance goals. In most cases, would perform the role of section owner for the EHandS sections of operating discipline.
Acts as the Plant resource for related EHandS information on procedures, guidelines and standards.
Serves as plant contact for Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety issues.
Coaches teams and individuals on EHandS related tasks and activities.
Assists in developing and achieving area or plant EHandS goals.
Ensures compliance tasks are completed.
Performs coordinates certain Environmental, and IH monitoring, data collection, analyzing and reporting for the Plant.
Experience
Completion of Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree (i.e. Associate's Degree) in related field plus EHandS, manufacturing or other related experience preferred. In lieu of degree, equivalent years of experience required.
