PhD Research Chemist (Inorganic) – Near Lincoln, Nebraska
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented PhD Research Chemist to join our team. The successful candidate will conduct advanced material analyses and perform a variety of testing procedures with a focus on inorganic chemistry, particularly metals and wet chemistry techniques. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong academic background and a passion for hands-on research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform material analysis using advanced chemical techniques.
- Design, execute, and document a series of tests on inorganic materials, focusing on metal compositions and properties.
- Utilize and develop wet chemistry methodologies to achieve accurate results.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to interpret data and provide insights into material properties.
- Maintain meticulous records of experiments and prepare reports for internal and external use.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in inorganic chemistry and incorporate new techniques into testing protocols.
- PhD in Chemistry, with a focus on inorganic chemistry or a closely related field.
- Open to candidates with academic research experience; postdoctoral or industrial experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in wet chemistry techniques and handling metal-based materials.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in advanced instrumentation (e.g., ICP, spectroscopy, chromatography, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Effective communication skills for presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with material characterization methods.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and chemical handling procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced research environment.
