Job Opportunity: Portfolio Coordinator – Business Transformation

What You'll Be Doing
You'll play a key role in the success of Cenovus's transformation roadmap, supporting the delivery of complex portfolios and ensuring alignment across schedules, financials, value creation, and governance. You'll work closely with business functions, Digital & IT, and vendors to help drive the success of strategic initiatives.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Monitoring Portfolio Financials: Maintain detailed tracking of project financials including forecasts, actuals, variances, and reconciliations. Collaborate with Finance, D&IT, and vendors on invoicing and reporting.
- Tracking Schedules & Dependencies: Build and manage a portfolio-level schedule view with key milestones and cross-project dependencies.
- Status & Value Reporting: Consolidate project updates into a clear portfolio-level status report. Track value delivery and support reporting aligned to Cenovus's Value Delivery Framework.
- Governance & Capital Frameworks: Support adherence to governance processes including the Capital Allocation Framework and Investment Memos.
- Vendor & Tool Coordination: Liaise with Supply Chain, Vendor Management Office, and external vendors to manage contracts, document filing, and workflows in tools like ServiceNow PPM and OpenInvoice.
- Portfolio Operations: Maintain trackers for risks, actions, resource management, and approvals. Prepare decision materials and ensure appropriate documentation and content management.
- Team Collaboration & Support: Manage SharePoint sites, Teams channels, meeting coordination, internal communications, and other ad-hoc support across the Business Transformation team.
Who We're Looking For
You're a detail-oriented and organized professional who excels at managing multiple priorities and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You understand how to bring structure to complexity, are comfortable working with data and schedules, and are eager to support transformation initiatives in a large organization.
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project coordination or project management (experience in oil and gas is an asset)
- Proficiency in project financial tracking, value delivery frameworks, and portfolio governance
- Strong working knowledge of tools like MS Office, SharePoint, ServiceNow PPM, and OpenInvoice
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
