Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:
$19.00 to $23.00 per hour (Open for negotiations based on experience)
What's a typical day as a Powder Coating Machine Operator? You'll be:
- Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking parts to ensure proper powder adhesion.
- Setting up, operating, and adjusting manual or automated powder coating and curing equipment.
- Spraying a consistent and even coat of powder onto various surfaces according to specifications.
- Moving parts into and out of an oven to cure the powder coating.
- Inspecting finished products to ensure the coating meets quality standards, including thickness and appearance.
- Performing routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
- Adhering to all safety rules and regulations, including proper handling of materials and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Logging production and maintenance activities as required.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications are a plus.
- Possess technical skills with proficiency in powder coating equipment, including spray guns, booths, and curing ovens.
- Have strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions effectively.
- Bring a good work ethic and teamwork skills necessary for producing consistent, high-quality finishes.
- Have previous experience in a similar role (preferred) and are physically capable of standing for long periods in potentially noisy, dusty, or hot environments.
