Kelly Services is seeking a Press Brake Operator for a Metals Manufacturer located in Lake Mary, FL 32746.
Pay Rate- $14.00-$20.00/hour
Schedule- Mon-Fri 2nd shift- 2:30pm-11:00pm
The ideal candidate will aim to reduce variability to achieve zero defects while also improving cycle times for our products and services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Operate a computer-controlled press brake machine to produce formed parts for further manufacturing operations or for immediate sale.
- Reading Requirements: Interpret production paperwork to determine specified manufacturing requirements.
- Quality Checks: Use calipers, micrometers, and height gages to check parts for accuracy to print specifications.
- Programming: Load the correct program into the control system to run the appropriate parts and quantities.
- Material Assessment: Ensure that supplied materials meet production requirements.
- Conformance Reviews: Inspect parts for conformity with workmanship standards.
- Documentation: Complete production paperwork, including quality and timekeeping records, and maintain In-Process and Final Audit Reports.
- Work Area Maintenance: Keep a safe, clean, and orderly work area in compliance with 6S Standards.
- Safety Compliance: Wear required safety equipment and adhere to Safety Policy.
- Part Identification: Properly fill out tags to identify produced parts for traceability.
- Control Language: Use control language and demonstrate the ability to perform necessary computer functions to set up, operate, and adjust offsets on the press brake.
- Troubleshooting: Perform basic troubleshooting and problem-solving, including alarm editing.
- Basic Setups: Execute basic setups involving non-complex bends.
- Blueprint Reading: Read blueprints to determine characteristics that need monitoring.
- Calibration Monitoring: Ensure the calibration of the equipment used within the department.
- Training: Receive on-the-job training from the cell supervisor.
- Quality Policy Understanding: Understand the Company Quality Policy and Objectives and their role in achieving these goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Assist the Cell Leader with the introduction of continuous improvement ideas.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Safety shoes and glasses must be worn at all times.
- Hearing protection must be worn in posted areas and is optional in unmarked areas.
- Gloves should be worn when handling parts.
- Wear clothing that provides adequate coverage and protection from accidental contact with part edges.
