Description
Kelly is currently seeking a Product Stewardship Specialist in the Midland, Michigan area! The Product Stewardship Specialist will act as a point of contact for internal and external customer questions related to substance and product classifications and regulatory requirements, among other related tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimize product regulatory information documents and ensure well-organized records that allow ready interpretation and retrieval of required information
- Communicate with external vendors to collect relevant information to support product certifications and regulatory compliance
- Collect and interpret SDSs and other hazard communication documents
- Review compliance, regulatory, and toxicological information for raw materials and products (Prop65, SVHC, REACH and all other relevant regulatory bodies)
- Manage product drinking water and food contact certifications.
- Communicate with the business and stakeholders when raw material and ingredient regulations change and assist with mitigating the impact.
- Evaluate product formulations and raw materials to determine dangerous goods transport classifications for domestic and international regulations.
- Develop a basic knowledge of new and changing product safety regulations, including country-specific regulations
- Work with the process leader or manager and other stakeholders (product stewards) on process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, toxicology, or other scientific discipline
- 1+ years of regulatory or product stewardship experience preferred
- Strong computer and database management skills.
- Detail oriented with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage tasks, deadlines, and changing priorities in a team environment.
