Product Verification & Validation Engineer 

 

  • Location: ONSITE - Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina
  • Duration: 12+ months – estimated to end 3/2026 (contract extension expectation)
  • Type: W2 contract (Third-party or C2C "Corp-to-Corp" arrangements WILL NOT be considered for this role)
  • Pay: Negotiable depending on direct-related experience
  • Work Authorization: Must be currently in the United States with active employment authorization documents. Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position.
  • Shift: 1st shift position. Overtime may be required as needed. Safety shoes required (internal metatarsals with no flap over laces) for the first day.

 

A Product Verification & Validation Engineer ensures that prototype components and machines meet durability and performance requirements at key stages of the Product Development Process. This role supports the planning/execution of virtual analysis, laboratory testing, and field testing of prototype machines for the Turf Care group.

 

What skills you need:
  • Hands on skills and aptitude with mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical systems
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience with engineering tools, software systems, and databases
  • Experience with instrumentation methods and test automation
  • Understanding of the importance of each phase of product development (scoping, design, analysis, testing, customer feedback, and manufacturing)
  • Experience with test data analysis using nCode, LabView or MatLab

 

Job Duties:
  • Decides upon appropriate tests to ensure durability and performance of new designs, developing new tests when necessary.
  • Leads the team through root cause investigations and data gathering when prototypes fail tests.
  • Applies mechanical and electrical engineering aptitude to assist design engineers, participate in design reviews, gather the right data, and design tests.
  • Learns company products and develops customer understanding to become a “voice of the customer” and plan tests that accurately represent customer usage.
  • Remains highly organized while managing multiple tasks and data streams.
  • Interacts effectively with technical professionals across a variety of job roles and backgrounds, including teammates across the country or across the world.
  • Communicates technical and non-technical information clearly and concisely with peers and leadership in written and verbal forms.
  • Prepare tests or test stands in readiness for new tests.
  • Run activity tests in an efficient manner
