Do you have dairy or pharmaceutical production experience? We are hiring Production Associates for our premier client in Portland, OR!
Hours: 8am-4:30pm M-F (must be ok switching to 4pm-12:30am in March)
Pay: $22.66/hr (+$2/hr shift differential once on swing shift)
Location: Portland, OR 97230
Position Type: Direct Hire
Position Summary: Support the entire packaging process, transport pallets of product, load/unload shipments, cycle count/inventory, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Operate weight scale and heat sealer
- Place lids on cans, assemble boxes for packaging canned products, fill and seal boxes, and stack pallets
- Properly sample bags and sacks at all bagging locations
- Read production schedule, work orders, and shipping/receiving orders to determine items to be moved or distributed
- Load/unload and receiving/ship deliveries and complete all necessary documentation
- Pick materials from lists and deliver/transfer to appropriate area in facility
- Maintain perpetual inventory log and manage all materials movement within the ERP system
- Perform daily forklift checks against preventative maintenance schedules
- Rotate/store stock according to date coding and allergen protocol
- Return all remaining materials from production runs back into inventory and finalize control documents on said changes, as required
- Follow SOPs to adhere by all safety, sanitation, and product standards
- Attend all company-mandated training sessions
- Minor maintenance on associated equipment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of relevant production experience (preferably in the dairy, pharmaceutical, or food industries)
- Must be okay in a cleanroom environment
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be self-disciplined, a team player, and able to handle emergency situations
