OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Production Dispatcher is responsible for releasing and assembling Production Order packets based on production schedules provided by Production Planners. The Dispatcher also processes subcontract POs provided by the Buyers.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Releases production orders per schedule, with prints, IP s, work authorizations, etc; assembles production order packet, and ensures timely delivery of production orders to support manufacturing processes.
  • Process Subcontract Supplier Purchase Orders with required paperwork and deliver to material deployment for processing.
  • Monitors accuracy of production, purchase order paperwork.
  • Take production GEMBA walks to identify work needed per cell and delivering production orders to cells as necessary.
  • Prepares planning reports as required.
  • Establishes effective communication with various teams such as production planner, buyer, supervisors, plant production departments, and/or management as required.
  • Identifies opportunities for procedural improvements to eliminate waste.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Preferred Computer skills: SAP, Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook
• Basic math knowledge including counting, addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, fractions and decimals
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Interpersonal Skills Required. This position requires written and oral communication and working with others in team setting

Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Desirable Experience:
• Computer Experience
• Office Experience
• Demonstrable knowledge of SAP
