Description

Position Title: Production Operator
Location: Statesboro
Pay: $18/hr

Position Summary:
The Production Operator is responsible for performing operations related to the manufacturing and assembly of high-quality products. Flexibility in shift rotation and movement between work centers is required. Compliance with all plant policies and support for 5S initiatives and department/corporate goals is mandatory. The roles and responsibilities listed are intended to cover key areas but are not exhaustive; additional functions may be assigned based on company needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure the accuracy of work and monitor the quality of preceding operations.
  • Perform tasks according to work instructions and maintain required UPH (Units Per Hour).
  • Operate equipment safely and complete all functions within the work center.
  • Troubleshoot issues and inform the Team Leader/Supervisor as needed.
  • Maintain necessary documentation.
  • Uphold workplace safety, adhering to all plant safety rules.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work centers and address concerns with appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with the team to maximize efficiency and minimize scrap/downtime, including rotation and troubleshooting.
  • Engage in training, shift and department meetings, and other mandatory training or meetings.
  • Support departmental goals of safety, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Follow prescribed work standards as written.
  • Support and participate in EHS objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Supervisory Responsibility: N/A

Work Environment:

  • Plant setting with temperature fluctuations (hotter in summer, cooler in winter).
  • Exposure to certain noise levels and bright lights.
  • Required to wear company-issued personal protective equipment, including steel toe shoes, glasses, and gloves.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing for 8-12 hours per day.
  • Frequent bending and reaching with arms forward/above the shoulders.
  • Pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. for 1 hour per day (carts).
  • Ability to maintain focus for extended periods.
  • Ability to multitask and analyze information to identify problems.

 

Special Requirements:

  • Overtime as needed.
