Role: Production Operator
Shift: 1st 6AM-2:30PM
Location: Union City, CA
Payrate: $18.50/hr.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Production-Operations Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the highest quality, food safety, sanitation, and efficient operations within the Work Center. You'll play a crucial role in driving improvements and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities:
- Complete all required training within onboarding plan deadlines.
- Embrace and actively practice all Client Policies and Procedures.
- Participate and support Client improvement initiatives.
- Engage in development/review of procedures, documentation, and implementation.
- Support New Employee Learning & Development and Cross-training initiatives.
- Lead and support other employees within the Work Center.
Production-Operations:
- Attend and contribute to daily pre-shift huddles.
- Conduct smooth shift handovers with peers, ensuring effective communication.
- Retrieve all necessary setup/start-up information and materials.
- Follow FIFO protocol and verify materials according to Manufacturing Work Orders.
- Execute equipment changeover/set-up processes efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Safely operate assigned production equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues during shifts and pre-plan tasks.
- Promote operational efficiency and report any specification deviations.
- Submit work requests for equipment/process improvement.
- Assume duties of absent employees with equal or lower skill levels.
- Communicate Food Safety, Quality, and Workplace Safety issues to management.
Quality, Food Safety, and Sanitation:
- Maintain a high level of Quality, GMPs, and Sanitation.
- Ensure all quality data is properly documented.
- Initiate actions for preventing nonconformities in Food Safety and Quality.
- Manage processing of nonconforming products concerning Food Safety and Quality.
- Adhere to SSOPs for assigned equipment.
Health, Safety, and Environment:
- Maintain a safe working environment and address safety concerns.
- Promote an accident-free workplace through safety fundamentals.
- Adhere to PPE requirements and ensure all equipment is in good condition.
- Follow LOTO Procedures for equipment setup and troubleshooting.
- Engage in creating an environmentally friendly workplace.
Requirements:
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Strong communication skills and proactive problem-solving abilities.
