Location: Rock Hill
Schedule: C-Type Rotating Schedule | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
Training: Initial training will take place on day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $18.00

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Production Operator I to join our team in a chemical manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for packaging Phenoxy, labeling finished goods, transferring Bis-A powder, operating a forklift, and performing general housekeeping duties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment on a 12-hour rotating night shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Package Phenoxy and label finished goods according to specifications

  • Operate a forklift safely to move and transfer materials, including Bis-A powder to silos

  • Perform routine cleaning, sweeping, trash removal, and painting in production areas

  • Complete drum labeling and cleaning tasks accurately

  • Support various production activities and shift supervisor directives

  • Adhere to all plant safety guidelines, policies, and procedures

  • Respond to deviations and assist in documenting process conditions

  • Connect hoses, maneuver containers, and handle materials (some heavy lifting required)

  • Use tools, equipment, and wear appropriate PPE

  • Perform minor equipment maintenance and complete required safety training

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Communicate effectively with peers, leads, and supervisors

  • Exhibit teamwork and maintain a positive attitude

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Prior experience in a chemical plant, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred

  • Forklift experience required; certification a plus

  • Must be safety-focused with the ability to follow procedures and protocols

  • Comfortable working with chemicals and wearing appropriate PPE

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work from elevated platforms

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Capable of working a 12-hour rotating night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) including weekends and holidays as scheduled

  • Ability to train on 1st shift for initial onboarding
