Description

Production Packer (Night Shift)

Location: Jackson, MI 49203 | Shift: 6 PM – 6 AM (12-Hour) / Mon-Sun
Pay rate: 17$ per hour


The Role

Join our vinyl siding manufacturing team. You will be responsible for inspecting, packing, and preparing finished products for shipment while maintaining a safe, clean workspace.
 

Key Responsibilities
  • Packing: Assemble/glue boxes, label containers, and load siding onto skids.

  • Quality Control: Visually inspect siding for defects and alert operators of issues.

  • Line Support: Assist with line set-up, monitor glue levels, and cut straps using a hacksaw.

    Prep: Secure and strap skids for warehouse transport.


Requirements & Physical Demands
  • Physical Stamina: Must be able to independently lift/move up to 60 lbs and perform repetitive tasks (bending, reaching, gripping) during 12-hour shifts.

  • Work Environment: Comfortable working in a noisy, dusty, warm environment with chemical odors.

    Reliability: Commitment to safety and quality excellence.


Schedule Note:
???Orientation is 7 AM – 4 PM for the first 3 days. Training may occur on days before moving to the permanent 6 PM – 6 AM night shift.
