Now hiring for a Production Technician/Fabricator in Johnson City, TN!
Shift: M-F 7:00am-4:00pm
Pay: $18/hr+

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Cut, bend and shape metal components using a range of fabrication equipment such as
saws, shears, breaks, punches, drill presses and grinders
· Weld or join metal components together using various techniques and methods including
MIG, TIG and ARC welding.
· Review technical drawings, blueprints and schematics to determine the requirements for
metal fabrication projects
· Assemble and construct metal products, ensuring that the final product is accurate,
functional and meets the required specifications
· Propane torch operation for heating and cutting purposes
· Laser alignment and fan balancing service calls
· Forklift operation, both indoor and outdoor
· Maintaining accurate metal stock levels
· Ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met
· Unloading and loading of trucks by forklift and/or overhead bridge crane
· Sand blasting and painting of finished fabrication projects
· General cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas
· General maintenance of equipment used for fabrication purposes
· May be called upon to complete task outside of primary duties

Education Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Basic Welding Skills
· Forklift Operations
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
· High attention to detail and accuracy
· Strong problem-solving skills
· General knowledge of hand tools, both manual and air operated
· General knowledge of measurement tools
· General basic math knowledge
· General communication skills
· Willingness to learn and accept training
· Safety oriented
· Team oriented attitude

Working Conditions:
· The work environment is in a manufacturing facility where noise level is usually
moderate
· Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
· Requires the use of hands for simple handling, grasping and fine manipulations
· Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 50 pounds
· Requires standing for long periods of time
· Requires making repetitive motions while operating equipment.
· Requires activities involving being around moving machinery
· Work a standard work week but may be required to work some overtime
· Work area is heated in winter but not air conditioned in the summer
