Professional Land Surveyor (Oklahoma City, OK)
Our client, a full-service design engineering, environmental consulting, and geotechnical services firm, is currently hiring a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to services clients in Oklahoma and Texas. For the surveyor role, preference is for someone licensed in both Oklahoma and Texas, with a minimum 6-month process to obtain the Oklahoma license if only licensed in Texas. The surveyor role will be based in Oklahoma City or Enid, with some initial travel for training, but flexibility in the travel schedule thereafter.
Profile: PLS license in Oklahoma/Texas, Experience with GPS, Total Station (robotic and/or conventional), laser levels, and data collection systems, Proficient in Autodesk, must be willing to work in the office and out in the field on projects, must be willing to travel. This position provides assists with a variety of projects from any of our services areas: Land Development, Public Works, Oil and Gas, and Agricultural Engineering. Role is located the Oklahoma City office. The right entry level licensed PLS may be trained.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of topographic, property boundary, and engineering design surveys, and construction staking.
Project management of assigned surveys covering fieldwork, mapping overview, and budget adherence. Assist in budget preparation and tracking. Assist in processing survey data and drawing production.
Quickly solving daily survey-related problems and completing projects in a timely manner.
Assisting the project team in meeting client expectations and schedules.
Hire, develop, and train survey field technicians.
Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to staff members.
Point of contact for clients to ensure the survey meets their needs and objectives.
Develop and maintain client relations.
Qualifications:
PLS license in Oklahoma/Texas.
Experience with GPS, Total Station (robotic and/or conventional), laser levels, and data collection systems.
Proficient in Autodesk.
Must be willing to work in the office and out in the field on projects.
Must be willing to travel.
Knowledge of standard boundary reconciliation principles.
Highly organized, initiative-taking, and able to handle multiple project tasks.
Ability to work under pressure, be self-directed, and exhibit good business judgment.
Able to meet the physical demands of site visits to client facilities and related travel. (Able to lift 50- lbs. and work outside in all weather conditions and terrain.)
Compliance with Envirotech's and client drug/alcohol and safety programs.
Current valid driver's license.
