Description

We are currently staffing an exciting construction project in Northern Utah. We are looking for engineering talent to join our team. These roles offer tremendous growth opportunities and a chance to be part of innovative projects that drive efficiency and sustainability in power generation.

Job Title: Project Engineer – Electrical or Mechanical
Location: North Utah
Duration: 1+ year contract
Compensation: competitive pay rate and full benefits (medical, dental, PTO and holiday pay)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Marking out sites, verifying designs and quantities, and ensuring all project specifications are met.
  • Material Management: Leading the selection and requisition of materials and equipment.
  • Cost Management: Proposing and implementing cost-effective solutions to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.
  • Work Planning: Organizing site activities and facilities to meet tight deadlines.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitoring site work to ensure quality standards are adhered to.
  • Permit Management: Overseeing Permit to Work systems, ensuring compliance and safety.
  • Problem-Solving: Acting as the primary point of contact for technical challenges.
  • Collaboration: Fostering strong communication with all project stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
  • Progress Monitoring: Tracking project timelines, managing variations and delays, and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Reporting: Creating detailed updates for the Project Manager and stakeholders.
  • Safety Commitment: Upholding Health, Safety, and Environmental standards at all times.
Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong foundation in electrical and/or mechanical engineering, with a focus on power generation systems.
  • Familiarity with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
  • Knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
  • Proficiency in IT applications such as Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience in project management methodologies.
  • Basic coaching and mentorship skills.

  • Committed to continuous improvement and quality enhancement.
Desirable Experience:
  • Understanding of CHP, Controls, Absorbers, Gas Trains, SCR's, Exhaust Gas Heat Exchangers & Silencers, and Cooling System Radiators.
  • Experience with Renewable Energy.
  • Degree/HND/HNC in engineering.
  • Project Management qualification.
  • Experience with Procore: Construction Software.
