Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Prototype Shop Manager and Fabricator to oversee our prototyping operations and ensure the creation of high-quality, innovative designs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication, prototyping techniques, CAD experience and team leadership. You will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the prototype shop, coordinating with design teams, and fabricating components that meet stringent quality standards.

Details:
- 1st shift hours! 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
- Pay: $45,000 - $55,000 annually – flexibility depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret design drawings and specifications to fabricate prototypes with precision.
- Utilize various fabrication methods such as CNC machining, 3D printing, welding, and handcrafting.
- Use your excellent mechanical skills to fabricate prototypes, sheer metals, weld, bend and paint/powder coat nearly finished product.
- Collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure optimal prototype development.
- Operate and maintain fabrication tools and equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during fabrication and offer creative solutions.
- Ensure prototypes meet quality standards and are completed within project timelines.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in prototyping technology.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in prototype fabrication or a related field.
- Skilled in operating fabrication machinery and tools.
- Strong ability to interpret complex design specifications accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in CAD software is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a fabrication environment.
