General Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our production team. This role involves conducting inspections and reviews during the manufacturing of products, ensuring compliance with quality standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

- Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Inspect the production area, production processes, and finished goods.
- Conduct line clearance and pre-op checks before production begins and after any line stoppage.
- Review batch tickets prior to the start of production.
- Monitor the cleanliness of production areas; report any anomalies to QA and the Production Supervisor.
- Verify the proper sanitation of all production equipment before starting production.
- Ensure product identification and sanitation cards are present on equipment.
- Check the release stickers on all raw materials, packaging, and bulk items before production begins.
- Verify that product temperature and weight are within specifications prior to packaging.
- Execute routine checklists using the QC Line Hourly Inspection Form and report any anomalies.
- Record daily findings on the Daily Event Tracker Worksheet.
- Perform weekly audits and document findings in the cGMP Audit Worksheet.
- Record all downtime and scale calibration using the QC Hourly Inspection Form.
- Verify equipment calibration and fitness for use daily.
- Complete a Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) when necessary.
- Fill in for the Incoming QC Inspector when needed, fulfilling all related duties.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Skills Required:
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Proficient in using scales, thermometers, and other measuring devices.
- Knowledge of CFR (Code of Federal Regulations) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Ability to perform simple math functions.
- Ability to stand/walk for up to 3 hours at a time.
- Good hand/eye coordination and visual acuity for inspecting line operations and equipment.
- Ability to accurately write and record information.
- Capable of lifting up to 5 pounds and performing physical tasks such as bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and twisting.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in production within a GMP environment required.
- 1-2 years of line inspection and/or GMP audit experience preferred.
