Quality Control Laboratory Technician

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Technician for a contract-to-hire position at a cutting-edge client in Torrance, CA. If you're passionate about supporting quality control processes and ensuring product integrity, trust The Experts at Hiring Experts.

Schedule: Mon-Fri onsite Overview
The Client is an industry-leading company committed to excellence in manufacturing and quality assurance. In this role, you will support the QC laboratory by receiving, testing, and processing raw materials, ensuring accurate documentation and proper sample handling, preparing samples for external testing, and performing related administrative tasks. Responsibilities
Includes the following; other duties may be assigned:
Receipt of Raw Materials:

  • Receive incoming raw materials and verify accompanying documentation (receiving reports, certificates of analysis, etc.).
  • Request additional samples as needed for testing or verification purposes.
Processing of Documentation:
  • Scan, upload, and file completed raw material testing documents, specifications, and related records.
  • Maintain organized records for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
Raw Material Testing:
  • Perform visual and sensory testing of raw materials, including assessment of appearance, color, and odor.
  • Record observations accurately and report any deviations from specifications.
Sample Preparation and Packaging:
  • Prepare samples for external laboratory testing, ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and documentation.
  • Coordinate shipments of samples to external labs in compliance with internal procedures.
Qualifications
  • Previous laboratory experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment preferred.
  • Associate's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with electronic quality systems is a plus.
  • Maintains an exemplary attendance and punctuality performance record.
  • Adheres to all Prime Personnel Policies as established by the company.
