JOB TITLE: QC/Production Associate I

Pay Rate: $30–$32/hour
Location: Gilroy, CA

JOB SUMMARY

The QC/Production Associate I will operate radiosynthesizers for the production of drug product and utilize analytical equipment for quality control. This position is essential in ensuring accurate, safe, and compliant production processes in a nuclear/radiopharmaceutical lab environment.

PRIMARY SHIFT & SCHEDULE
  • Training Schedule: 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM (day shift for onboarding/training)

  • Regular Shift:

    • Sunday night: 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM

    • Monday through Thursday: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM

  • Additional Requirement: One Saturday shift every third weekend for coverage

  • Flexibility is required to work the day shift (4 AM – 12 PM) during coverage needs such as PTO.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Duties:

  • Perform FDG and NaF synthesis per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Ensure reagents and materials are in-date and accepted appropriately.

  • Operate radiosynthesis units and assist with maintenance.

  • Understand the basic operational principles of synthesis equipment.

Quality Control Duties:

  • Perform QC procedures and operate instruments such as GC/HPLC and other analytical equipment.

  • Ensure calibration, qualification, and cleanliness of QC tools and spaces.

  • Complete all relevant cGMP documentation accurately and on time.

Operational Support:

  • Support inventory tracking, material acceptance, and supply levels.

  • Collaborate with support teams for troubleshooting issues in production or QC.

  • Operate the cyclotron under appropriate guidance for product generation.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and site compliance regulations.

  • Maintain cleanliness and ISO-classified area qualification.

  • Execute environmental monitoring and cleaning protocols per SOPs.

  • Participate in Quality Assurance activities, including investigations and deviation management.

Documentation and Meetings:

  • Complete and maintain accurate production and QC records, logbooks, and documentation.

  • Attend team and internal meetings as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Required: High school diploma

  • Preferred: Associate's degree in chemistry, engineering, or natural sciences

  • Preferred Experience:

    • Chemistry lab experience

    • Familiarity with analytical instrumentation such as GC/HPLC

    • 2–3 years of job stability per role

Trainable: Candidates with general lab experience and chemistry knowledge may be trained.

  • clinical laboratory backgrounds and lab equipment familiarity may also be considered if they hold a science-related degree.
