The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring performance, managing quality assurance technicians, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes.

Pay Rate: $40-48, based on experience
Schedule: 7am-3:00pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor the performance of the entire Quality Management System, including procedures, manuals, work instructions, and related documentation to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
- Plan and develop Quality Assurance Technicians to support manufacturing activities such as receiving inspections, in-process inspections, final inspections, dock audits, first articles, in-process audits, and inspection methods.
- Supervise Quality Department personnel to ensure prompt and accurate responses to quality issues, analyzing testing results, and maintaining open communication with other departments for maximum efficiency.
- Collaborate with management, supervision, and the workforce to implement standardized work processes to reduce internal and external nonconforming products and rework.
- Analyze and interpret customer blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, and the requirements for measuring instruments.
- Serve as the liaison between the company and customers to resolve quality problems and manage the Customer Return/Complaint process, ensuring appropriate containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification actions are taken.
- Represent the voice of the customer on the manufacturing floor and the company during customer quality audits.
- Maintain knowledge of ISO standards and objectives, reinforcing them as needed.
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools and concepts to assist in process improvements.
- Develop and follow Tactical/Strategic Plans as set forth by the President, including developing budgets and cost control measures for the Quality Department.
Minimum Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- 5-10 years of experience in a quality or manufacturing discipline, preferably in a managerial capacity.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and experience with internal/external audits.
- Experience with the implementation of standards and procedures to achieve and maintain automotive industry quality certifications (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 14001) preferred.
- Familiarity with APQP and PPAP process requirements (e.g., process flow, control plans, PFMEAs) preferred.
- ASQ-CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and ASQ-CQA (Certified Quality Auditor) or ISO/QS Lead Assessor credentials preferred.
- Knowledge of multiple problem-solving methods (e.g., Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, PFMEAs, 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams).
- Understanding of blueprint drawings and GD&T as applicable.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer literacy required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills preferred.
- Ability to deliver presentations preferred.
