About the RoleAre you passionate about food safety and quality systems? We're looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our fast-paced manufacturing team and lead critical QA initiatives that ensure product integrity, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. You'll manage a small but impactful QA and sanitation team, own BRC compliance, and support production and R&D teams to deliver safe, high-quality products to market.

Key Responsibilities-
Lead, coach, and supervise a team of 3 QA Technicians and sanitation staff across shifts.

Oversee and continually improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and HACCP programs.

Prepare for and participate in BRC, GFSI, FDA, and military audits

Act as a key liaison with third-party sanitation and chemical suppliers; review and approve SSOPs.

Lead the Environmental Monitoring Program and trend out-of-specification results to drive action.

Investigate customer complaints and internal deviations to implement meaningful CAPAs.

Review and approve nutritional labels, ingredients, allergen declarations, and hold/release records.

Manage and update documentation including SOPs, deviation logs, and HACCP records.

Support and maintain Gluten-Free (GFCO) and MSC/ASC Chain of Custody certifications.
Must-Haves:
-
Bachelor's in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.

3+ years' leadership experience in QA within food manufacturing.

HACCP & PCQI certification.

Experience with BRCGS (Version 9 preferred) or other GFSI standards.

Strong command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

High integrity, strong sense of ownership, and a detail-oriented mindset.
Nice-to-Haves:

Seafood HACCP certification.
-
Previous experience working with seafood or allergen-sensitive products.

Spanish language proficiency.
