QUALITY INSPECTOR – CT

Location: Windsor, CT
Pay Rate: $28/hr
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm

The Quality Inspector ensures that all materials and products meet quality standards before, during, and after production. This role involves performing inspections, documenting results, and supporting compliance with quality requirements and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret and follow quality requirements, industry standards, customer specifications, and written instructions.

  • Inspect and disposition incoming materials and in-process products to ensure compliance with quality, customer, and regulatory standards.

  • Inspect and disposition final products prior to shipment to ensure they meet quality expectations.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of materials, products, equipment, documentation, and production processes.

  • Measure dimensions such as length, width, height, thickness, and distances between reference points.

  • Document, record, and report inspections, measurements, defects, deviations, nonconformities, and noncompliance in appropriate systems.

  • Maintain and monitor the company nonconformance log, ensuring timely and accurate actions and closure of items.

  • Communicate and assist in resolving quality issues for internal and external stakeholders, including NCM responses, incident reporting, supplier RMAs, and corrective actions.

  • Collect, analyze, and compare data for recommendations, corrective actions, and root cause analysis; actively participate as part of corrective action teams.

  • Continuously enforce compliance with all quality policies, procedures, and processes.

  • Provide support to Operations as needed.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of material inspection experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS).

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Knowledge and understanding of AS9100 standards.

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend moderately complex instructions.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong record-keeping, data entry, and computer skills.

  • Excellent time-management, scheduling, and organizational abilities.

Additional Information
  • Primary work location: Windsor, CT, with occasional travel within the Northeastern United States.
