Job Title: Quality Assurance Lead
Location: Willingboro NJ
Employment Type: Full-Time
Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Lead to oversee and manage all aspects of the QA process. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to grow within an established, collaborative organization in the food ingredients industry. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage quality control efforts for incoming raw materials, in-process production, finished goods, and packaging.
  • Conduct weekly facility audits, GMP inspections, and operational assessments to ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement quality systems and SOPs in compliance with SQF standardsFood Safety Plans as needed.
  • Define laboratory testing requirements and ensure consistent adherence.
  • Review microbiological and analytical test results to verify compliance with product specifications and authorize QC release.
  • Perform laboratory testing on raw materials and finished goods when required.
  • Review and update Product Specification Sheets annually.
  • Participate in customer audits, third-party audits, and other external inspections.
  • Manage and respond to customer requests for quality documentation.
  • Oversee the vendor approval process, ensuring current certifications and quality documentation are maintained.
  • Maintain all relevant quality certifications.
  • Lead internal investigations related to quality issues and drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 3–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the Food Ingredients or Food Manufacturing Industry.
  • PCQI certification preferred but not required.
  • Certified SQF Practitioner required.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards.
  • Proficient in managing quality systems and collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Effective communicator with strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • A team-oriented mindset, open to collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, Food Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
