Kelly Science & Clinical has a new, permanent opportunity for a Quality Engineer in Walton KY!

Shift: M-F 7am-3:30pm
A Direct Hire Opportunity

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex new products, ensuring ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 standards are met.
  • Formulate procedures, specifications, and standards for products and processes.
  • Participate in team meetings with cross-functional teams.
  • Determine and validate inspection methods.
  • Support manufacturing and engineering in supplier and process validation.
  • Develop work instructions, device master records, test and inspection methods, and visual standards.
  • Review and approve team documents.
  • Identify critical personnel, gauges, procedures, and materials for qualification.
  • Create production reports, manage supplier assessment and approved supplier lists, and create audit plans.
  • Manage nonconformance process, including trend analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure suppliers deliver quality products meeting specifications.
  • Manage quality aspects of projects like timelines, prototypes, and testing.
  • Contribute to cross-functional project teams, supporting all quality deliverables.
  • Drive problem-solving of product quality and process issues from development through release.
  • Communicate with manufacturing to ensure design manufacturability and proper risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with project managers and customers to meet requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product quality within the medical device industry preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes of chemicals & plastics preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Manufacturing Management products.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with cGMP requirements.
  • Experience with EPA, FDA regulations (i.e., 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485: 2016 & 21 CFR 211) recommended.
