Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Davenport, IA (Onsite)
Assignment Length: 20 Months (As a W2 employee of KellyOCG)
Pay Rate: $43.00 per hour
Shift Information: 1st shift, 40 hours per week; potential for up to 5 hours of overtime per week
Work Environment: Majority of work (50–75%) performed on the shop floor. Metatarsal footwear required from day one.

Position Overview:
As a Quality Engineer, you will use analytical and quality tools to identify concerns, investigate product and process issues, implement corrective actions, and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives in a shop floor environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Use quality tools and practices to establish approval criteria and identify quality concerns
  • Investigate unit and process-related quality issues, gather and analyze data, facilitate and implement corrective actions
  • Provide work direction to inspectors on containment, quality procedures, and process monitoring tools
  • Facilitate quality-related discussions with internal and external customers to drive corrective actions
  • Generate monthly quality reports for metric monitoring and participate in management reviews
  • Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement projects (CI)
  • Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor and work collaboratively with teams

Required Skills & Experience:

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Team-oriented with strong shop floor experience
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve quality concerns
  • Comfortable providing work direction and facilitating discussions
