Kelly Science has the immediate need for a QC Laboratory Technician to join one of our growing clients in Rochester MI. This is a fully benefitted contract role including paid holidays, PTO, medical, vision and dental insurance available. The position is slated to last for at least 12 months/1 year.
Hourly Pay Rate: $23-$24
- Hours are M-F, flexible with start and stop times – 7AMEST – 330PMEST normally
- On-site (an exclusive in person position)
- Some overtime may be required
- Inspect printed packaging components (e.g., labels, cartons, inserts) for defects.
- Verify accuracy of printed information against specifications.
- Operate and maintain inspection equipment.
- Document inspection results precisely.
- Adhere to cGMP and quality standards.
- Receive manufacturing samples for QC and R&D testing.
- Store, label, organize, and discard samples.
- Perform reserve/retain sample examinations.
- Pull stability samples for testing.
- Prepare solutions/reagents for laboratory analysts.
- Process test paperwork/documentation.
- Learn and perform basic QC analyses.
- Participate in inventory management.
- Input data into electronic spreadsheets, validated information management software systems, and logbooks.
- Recognize unusual results, trends, deviations, and/or problems; report them to laboratory management promptly.
- Order supplies for the department as needed.
- Retrieve files and records for management and customers.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
- Associate's Degree in a related science field is desired. Prior experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory preferred.
- Knowledge of basic scientific principles required. Familiarity with relevant guidelines, laboratory safety procedures, instrumentation, and MSDSs is desired.
- Proficiency in Windows-based software such as Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is highly desirable.
- Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large quantities of documentation.
