Quality Lab Technicians – White Bear Lake MN
Responsibilities:
- Collects samples for analytical testing and conducts various laboratory tests on products, raw materials, ingredients and samples to ensure they meet necessary requirements.
- Prepares product samples for future reference and documents results.
- Analyzes audit test results to detect issues with sanitation and manufacturing.
- Inputs laboratory data into computer system.
- Notifies management when samples are out of specification.
- Reports food safety or quality problems to management and relevant personnel.
- Reviews inventory to identify necessary reordering of supplies and informs appropriate personnel.
- Trains employees on proper equipment use and procedures.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
- Performs additional related duties as needed
- Associates Degree in a Dairy or Food related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong math and inspection abilities.
- Capable of following oral and written instructions.
- Able to accurately read meters and charts and maintain lab records. Basic computer skills.
- Familiar with lab procedures, including proper use and maintenance of lab equipment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Frequent standing, walking, and repetitive motions with good dexterity.
- Able to work in adverse conditions, including limited exposure to a 35°F cold storage environment.
- Willing to work weekends, overnight shifts, and overtime.
- Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Good hearing to understand spoken information.
- Able to perform well in a team environment, even under pressure.
Details:
- 6pm – 6am Rotating days of the week
- $25.91/hr + $1/hr Shift Differential and Benefits
