Kelly is currently seeking a Quality Technician for a long-term opportunity in the Seadrift, Texas area! The Quality Technician executes a variety of business, site and plant department quality tasks and activities, as defined in established procedures or project plans, to enable the business to profitably meet customer and product regulatory requirements related to the quality management system. The Quality Technician also helps promote a customer-focused culture within a plant with complex interfaces and/or requirements and enhances the front-line knowledge and accountability for quality. The role requires broadened technical skills in analytical scientific methods or operational processes to perform a defined array of activities and may act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.
Responsibilities
- Supports routine day-to-day implementation and maintenance tasks related to the plant quality system.
- Supports plant-level management of change activities related to product quality.
- Supports plant quality training related to key quality system requirements to meet customer and product regulatory needs as well as the use of supporting tools and processes to achieve plant and business quality goals.
- Monitors effectiveness of the plant's quality management system. Supports strategic improvement opportunities.
- Supports product quality problem solving efforts through execution of data mining, traceability investigations and batch reviews.
- Ensures that product returns and non-conforming product are appropriately managed to prevent unintended use, including disposition.
- Ensures plant Operating Discipline systems, procedures and guidelines are improved and optimized to meet plant and business quality system requirements, as appropriate.
- Hosts customer and other quality related external audits, in cooperation with commercial and other functions.
Experience
- Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree (i.e. Associate's Degree) in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) field plus manufacturing or other related experience.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in SAP.
- Detail-oriented mindset.
- Team player.
