Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking an R&D Researcher near Schaumburg, IL.

Direct Hire
Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
Compensation: $79,000 - $119,000/year DOE

Position Summary:

A leading company in the oral care industry is seeking an experienced R&D Researcher to join their team located in the Schaumburg area. The role involves exploring new materials, components, and technologies for innovative product development, along with establishing and validating test methods for evaluating product efficacy, safety, and physical properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Explore new materials and technologies to drive technological innovation in product development.
  • Generate and evaluate new technical/product ideas based on competitive environments, consumer trends, and industry standards.
  • Investigate project/product ideas and collaborate with cross-functional teams involved in new product development.
  • Work with external institutes to implement clinical studies and arrange collaboration projects.
  • Develop testing methodologies for product efficacy, safety, and physical properties.
  • Provide information on product efficacy, safety, and properties to the product development and sales teams.
  • Contribute R&D expertise in cross-functional project teams.
  • Travel (10% - 20% domestic or international) may be required, with occasional after-hours teleconferences with international suppliers and project team members.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master of Science or Engineering required.
  • Experience: 1+ years of full-time R&D or new product development engineering experience. Familiarity with biological, microbial, or clinical study.
  • Knowledge: Biological statistics; experience in cross-functional project team environments.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); statistical analysis; analytical thinking; organized research process; good presentation skills.
  • Abilities: Strong learning capability; highly result-oriented and detail-focused; self-motivated and well-organized; able to work under stress with proper prioritization; strong mechanical and systematic aptitude.
