Job Title: Railcar Mechanic/Manager
Location: Angleton, TX 77515
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Compensation: $65,000 plus (relocation package included)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Must be flexible to meet operational demands

Position Summary

We are is seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Supervisor to oversee daily repair and maintenance operations of tank cars at our primary facility. This hands-on leadership role is vital to ensuring top-tier quality, strict safety compliance, and operational efficiency across multiple production lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of skilled technicians and welders.

  • Monitor production schedules, workflow, and resource allocation to meet turnaround timelines.

  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with AAR, FRA, and company standards.

  • Partner with quality and safety teams to uphold a zero-incident work environment.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in processes and performance.

  • Assist with hiring decisions, workforce planning, and employee evaluations.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, meeting all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in tank car or railcar repair, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

  • Strong knowledge of AAR and FRA regulations for tank car repair and qualification.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in an industrial or heavy manufacturing setting.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work flexible hours as needed.

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training in welding or mechanical systems preferred.
