This is a direct hire Robotic Weld Programmer/Operator position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Details:
• Day shift Hours M-Th 6:00am-4:30pm, Friday 6am-2:30pm (48 hours per week)
• $40.00/hr.+ based on skills and experience
• Louisville, KY


Position Information:
• Develop and maintain robotic system programs and recipes, while constantly working to increase output and monitor rework in the Robotic Weld Cell.
• Understand the basics of welding, fixturing, and have knowledge of weld symbols; assist in fixture design to ensure optimal welding processes.
• Read, create, and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3-D models to support design modification and automated manufacturing across departments.
• Train team members in robotic weld cell programming, while maintaining a flexible work schedule to optimize cell productivity.
• Set parameters based on welding designs and program robots to execute precise welds, maximizing quality and throughput.
• Conduct weld tests to assess accuracy and quality, and identify various metals and alloys, such as mild and stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to efficiently move materials and equipment into and out of the robotic cell, while arranging parts to keep the cell loaded.
• Use grinders and other hand and powered tools to grind, bevel, or fit metals together; inspect welds using tools and NDE techniques.
• Troubleshoot and repair parts to minimize downtime, restore production, and maintain a safe and professional work area, while reporting any unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, collaborate with team members on robotic weld processes, work periodically on alternate shifts, and proficiently use Microsoft Office suite.

Required Experience:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• 1+ year of robotic programming experience required
• Experience with Computer Aid Drawing & 3D CAD/CAM required
• Working knowledge of teach pendant controller for NC/CNC robotic programming as well as basic knowledge of welding theory/symbols and procedures (GMAW)
• Knowledge of computers
