Description

Sales Engineer
We are seeking a Sales Engineer to maintain and grow business relationships with existing customers as well as identifying new clients while improving profitability.

  • Identify new opportunities to provide products and services to existing customers and convince customers of our capabilities.
  • Travel to customer locations to ensure product satisfaction
  • Host business meetings onsite and offsite
  • Ensure timely responses to customer requests by managing internal activities related to new quotation, cost estimation, price negotiation, engineering change requests, etc.
  • Promote product and company brand
  • Gather competitive knowledge
  • Execute strategic plans to ensure long-term growth in both existing and potential new markets
  • Negotiate and track price changes
  • Build a long-term relationship with the customer, including key personnel in engineering, and purchasing
  • Support finance group with customer payment topics
Requirements
  • Education – Bachelor's degree required.  Engineering degree is preferable
  • Availability to travel; approx. 15-25%
  • Highly motivated, energetic and positive demeanor
  • Advanced verbal communication skills, including group presentation, negotiation and influencing
  • Time management skills, including planning and organization, decision making, problem solving and project management
  • Knowledge of closing techniques and customer relationships
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with global customers, sales representatives, engineers, managers and the general public
  • Ability to prepare written reports and other documents 
  • Spanish language skills are preferable
  • Knowledge of Fasteners is preferable
