Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Sales Support Rep in Carol Stream, IL. Candidates must have 5-10 years' solid experience with:

Salary: $120k

Shift:
Mon-Fri daytime hours (approx. 8am – 5pm)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities the Sales Support Rep are determined by the Director of Strategic Sales and approved by the President, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Represent client as its liaison between customers and subcontractors in all matters
  • related to design, application and function of the product we sell. This may include performing fastener application studies using various gages, tools, fastener products and customer materials, and generating technical reports.
  • Attend sales calls when required with all client commercial staff to lend technical support. This may include a presentation of client business model, products and capabilities.
  • Through visits to key suppliers, develop a strong knowledge of their production and secondary processing capabilities to offer full support to our commercial staff and customers as well.
  • Work closely with client commercial staff and customers to identify opportunities to offer cost reductions through VA/VE proposals. This may include line walks in customers' manufacturing operations, and direct interface at all levels, in a technical capacity.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with customers' staff to facilitate early involvement with new projects.
  • Support our commercial staff in relation to new product development and new product launches.
  • Conduct technical training sessions for client commercial staff.
  • Provide service to the customer in a variety of ways in accordance with undefinable needs and requirements as situations arise.
  • Provide technical support to client commercial staff by:
  • Providing technical interpretation of requirements on the 2D / 3D drawings and
  • specifications.
  • Managing 3D CAD software and providing technical support for client commercial staff's needs.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Communicate effectively, using oral and written communication skills.
  • Possess a formal Engineering degree and have a solid technical background (preferably with internal and externally threaded fasteners)
  • Be proficient in blueprint reading, including GD&T, and the usage of common fastener inspection tools (caliper, micrometer, thread gages, etc.)
  • Be proficient in the use of PC and related operating system software (especially 2D and 3D construction techniques).
  • Travel 30-50% to parts of the U.S. and other countries.
