Description
Title: Semiconductor Device Engineer
We are looking for a professional with 5–10 years of experience to contribute to the development, design, and integration of semiconductor components and materials in advanced power solutions. This role involves modeling, analyzing, and optimizing devices to ensure system reliability, superior power control, and resilience to radiation. Ideal candidates hold a deep knowledge of semiconductor physics and electrical engineering (Master's or PhD preferred), and can bridge the gap between device-level design and full electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, simulate, and analyze semiconductor devices for robust power systems
and demanding operational requirements
• Research and choose semiconductor materials (GaN, SiC, InGap, etc.)
for performance in harsh environments
• Collaborate with fabrication teams to improve wafer processing techniques
• Apply expertise in device operation to support effective circuit design
• Assess reliability, perform failure analysis, and evaluate effects of radiation exposure
on semiconductor components
• Work alongside PCB designers, power engineers, and systems teams to ensure
seamless device integration
• Build and maintain models for device simulation and predictive analysis
• Prepare and present technical documentation to internal and customer teams
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics
(Master's or PhD preferred)
• 5–10 years of experience designing, testing, or integrating semiconductor devices
• Thorough understanding of semiconductor physics and device modeling methods
• Familiarity with MOSFETs, IGBTs, wide bandgap, and advanced semiconductor technologies
• Experience in device modeling and simulation tools such as SPICE or TCAD
• Well-versed in reliability evaluation and radiation effects on devices
• Ability to excel in cross-disciplinary, fast-paced product development settings
Preferred Qualifications:
• Practical experience with wide bandgap materials in power applications
• Background in radiation-hardened or space-qualified device requirements
• Knowledge in packaging and thermal management for semiconductors
• Exposure to advanced failure analysis and device characterization methods
