Now Hiring: Senior Accountant | $70K–$75K/year
Location: Johnston, Rhode Island | 100% Onsite | Mon–Fri, 8:00AM – 5:00PM

Join a fast-paced Accounting Department committed to delivering accurate, timely financial reporting across a portfolio of commercial and subsidized housing properties under the company group umbrella.
What You'll Do:
As our Senior Accountant, you'll manage day-to-day accounting operations, support junior staff, and ensure compliance across affordable and market-rate housing entities. From reconciling accounts to assisting with audits and analyzing intercompany fees, you'll be a key player in strengthening financial controls and performance.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support, train, and guide junior accounting staff
  • Manage and post A/R transactions and tenant payments in Yardi
  • Reconcile bank statements, general ledgers, and monthly financials
  • Work directly with property managers and tenants to resolve billing issues and ensure timely collections
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and industry regulations
  • Process and analyze intercompany management fees
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Handle subsidy accounts and ensure accurate payment processing
  • Complete other duties as assigned by leadership
You Bring:
  • 4+ years' experience in A/R, A/P, or bookkeeping within an Accounting Department
  • Real estate or housing industry experience is required (affordable and market-rate preferred)
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager highly preferred
  • Experience with HUB is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (intermediate or higher)
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong math skills
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively
